MTA convenes gatherings of museum trustees and senior staff to discuss and develop governance skills in a team building environment that is essential to the success of museum trustees. Bring your leadership team to our upcoming Fall Meet-UPS! on September 16 in New York, NY and October 14 in San Diego, CA. Meet-UPS! include a half-day of educational programming, followed by a networking event. MTA Meet-UPS! are excellent opportunities for trustees and senior staff to share in an educational time that promotes discussion and team building. Both Meet-UPS! will also include Patron Weekend Collection Visits for MTA Patrons ($1,500+ donors).

Friday Meet-UP! at The Shed 1:30 – 5:30pm The Friday Meet-UP! is a half-day of panels, presentations, Q&A and networking focused on current topics essential to museum trustees. Registration includes entry to The Shed, the panels, and hors d’ oeuvres and drinks during the networking time. Panels will focus on antiquities collecting, creating welcoming and well being in our museum buildings and communications in difficult times. At the end of the program there will be a networking reception. |
Friday Meet-UP! at Mingei International Museum 1:30-5:30pm
The Friday Meet-UP! is a half-day of panels, presentations, Q&A and networking focused on current topics essential to museum trustees, directors and senior staff. Registration includes entry to the Mingei museum, the panels, hors d’oeuvres and drinks during the networking time. Panels will focus on succession planning, creating welcoming and well being in our museum buildings and ESG investing. At the end of the program there will be a networking reception. |

New York City Patron Day
The MTA Patron Members (at $1,500 individual or $2,500 dual) will enjoy a day of collection visits that include lunch and a reception at the end of the day. This day will include the tour of a private corporate collection, private tour of 56 Henry Gallery with owner Ellie Rines and a reception and tour of the Pergamon Art Group current exhibit in New York City. |
San Diego Patron Weekend
Through a carefully selected schedule of museum and private collection tours, patrons see sides of the art world that are not accessible to the average visitor. These private events provide ample opportunity for board members from across the Americas to network with their peers and to build long lasting relationships with like-minded individuals. Our weekend in La Jolla and San Diego, CA will include excursions to several private art collections and the newly renovated San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla, CA. |
