MTA gathers board members and museum senior staff for four days of panels, presentations, Q&A, and peer-to-peer networking focused on current topics essential to the success of today's museums.

Our panel topics are taking shape! We will go into some deep dives on the following current matters:
  • Everything but the Search – succession planning, contracts through retirement, and on-boarding of the Director.
  • Insight into what foundations are looking to fund now and what priorities younger funders are focused on in their own philanthropy.  
  • A sharp focus on estates that are heavily weighted in art versus other assets and how collectors can handle this specialty area for planning and gifting.  
  • Cultural Property, Museum Issues: Michael McCullough and Patty Gerstenblith will present on the latest litigation that affects lawsuits against American museums and collectors.
