Cave Creek Museum

Picture
The Cave Creek Museum preserves and interprets the natural resources and cultural heritage of the northern Sonoran Desert foothills through our collections and exhibits to encourage informal learning, educational programs, and research.

Permanent Exhibitions
  • Art, archaeology, and history of the Cave Creek and Carefree area
  • Mining and agricultural equipment from the Cave Creek Mining District
  • The last extant Tuberculosis Cabin in the state of Arizona.

Community Initiatives and Educational Programs
  • Monthly and occasional programs such as Stamp Mill Saturdays (general public)
  • 2nd Sundays @ CCM (Children and Families); Cave Creek Museum Presents Adult Discovery Series
  • Kids Summer Camp. This spring we also included “AZ H2O” by Sarah Porter on the history and future of water in central Arizona; and a talk by Oreland C. Joe, Sr. on Native American Ledger Art.
