Thursday Welcome Reception
MTA is looking forward to welcoming all 2025 Fall Forum and Patron Weekend attendees on Thursday, October 16th!
We will begin with a self-guided tour of the galleries at the National Museum of African American Music at 4:00PM (CDT). The NMAAM is the only museum of its kind dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of Black music in America.
Main Gallery exhibition: JUBILATION! Exhibition Ambassadors on a sacred journey, A Traveling Exhibit Celebrating the Fisk Jubilee Singers®
The museum and RISK Strategies will host a Welcome Reception after the tour with hors d’ oeuvres and drinks. A lively opportunity to meet fellow Forum attendees and speakers.
The full opportunity includes the time in the galleries, Welcome Reception at NMAAM and a reservation for dinner at Boqueria | Fifth + Broadway. Boqueria brings the best of Barcelona’s famed tapas bars to Tennessee. With seasonal drinks and dishes, this classic tapas restaurant offers a taste of Spain in the heart of Nashville.

Friday Forum
MTA’s 2025 Fall Forum will be held on October 17th @ 9am, hosted by the Frist Art Museum.

The Forum is a day of panels, presentations, Q&A, and networking focused on current topics essential to museum trustees. You will hear from experts, learn from peers, and dive into pressing field topics. Your registration also includes light refreshments, catered luncheon, a reception sponsored by Whiting Turner, and the option for a museum tour.
This day is an invaluable opportunity for attendees to learn from, inspire and connect with other dedicated professionals on important matters in the field. The tour and reception will follow the conclusion of the Forum before our evening Dine-Arounds, details below.

Patron Weekend
Join us for the Fall 2025 Patron Weekend! Current and new MTA Patron members will enjoy a weekend of private collection tours, exclusive events and fine dining in and around Nashville. Our weekend will include several private collections, a tour of an artist residency program with the curator and founder of the program as well as current artist participants, along with a behind the scenes tour of a prominent house museum.
Registration will confirm your attendance at the Thursday Welcome Reception and Friday Forum, as well as private collection tours, dining and transportation. To enhance the full experience, add on your dinner reservations for Thursday and Friday evenings! These options are available within the Patron Weekend registration. Hotel stay arrangements for the 2025 Fall Forum & Patron Weekend are as follows: The Museum Trustee Association room block can be booked through Marriot Bonvoy, at The Union Station Nashville Yards, Autograph Collection, located just 8.8 miles from the Nashville International Airport® (BNA®).

Frist Art Museum, the host of our Fall Forum, is only a minute’s walk from the hotel. Local attractions that may interest you (within a five-minute drive or a brief walk) include the National Museum of African American Music, Ryman Auditorium, the Tennessee State Museum, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
